Performance

Depicting an age when the "individual" counted, the W152 is built for the enthusiast to whom personal pleasure is of considerable importance. Driving pleasure is enhanced by exhilarating performance and superb road handling capabilities.  With upto 450bhp available, huge torque and a weight half that of a JAGUAR XJ6/12, the W152 acceleration is extremely impressive.

A standard XK 4.2 powered RONART can approach 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds with a top speed of 160mph.  Performance figures can be considerably improved with various modification options or by the use of AJ6 or V12 engines where these times can approach 4.5 seconds.

JAGUAR mechanics provide a perfect combination of high performance with quality, reliability and safety. The W152 can be supplied to various stages of performance from a standard 245bhp 6 cylinder engine, to a race-prepared V12 with over 500bhp and extensive race modifications.

Each W152 is designed to the customer's performance specifications and budget. Engine options include the JAGUAR AJ6 4.0Litre S6, the XK 4.2 Litre  S6 and the aluminum 5.3Litre V12 with it's famous sporting heritage. All engines can be supplied with catalytic converters to meet the strictest emission controls. They can be supplied with a large choice of carburettor set ups, fuel injection or super charging. With the engined positioned far back from the front axle, the car feels extremely well balanced.

Autocar & Motor magazine's performance figures suggest that the Ronart W152 is in the supercar league :-

Safety
Safety has played an important role in the design of the W152.

The centre body section features a high strength safety cage constructed of 1.5" CDS Steel tubes bonded in to the bodywork. Side impact bars, front and rear roll cage with an integral roll over bar are safety features of the centre monocoque. The second feature of the safety cage is to carry the seat belt anchorage mounting points. The W152 has undergone stringent safety checks by carrying out seatbelt anchorage testing to Ministry EEC standards. This test involved putting a combined load of 6 tons on the anchorage points.

The chassis design and construction is of paramount importance especially where very high power engines are fitted. The Ronart W152 chassis has under gone "Hydropulse" testing whereby hydraulic rams simulate 100,000 kilometers of driving subjecting the chassis and the cars suspension to large forces.

The steering system is very direct and precise to enable easy maneuvering at low and high speeds. The column is adjustable for reach and along with a secondary universal coupling is collapsible in the event of impact. The handling of a Ronart W152 is excellent with the steering positive and very stable.
