The first new Ronart since the W152 was launched in a blaze of publicity at the 1999 London Motor Show. Arthur Wolstenholme was "assisted" by the TV's powerful Gladiator, Lightning, presumably only in fending off the eager Press. |
The Ronart Lightning was pitched against the new Jensen V8, the TVR Tuscan, and the Lotus M250 V6 concept car. |

Ronart was an early proponent of the electric car concept at the Motor Show. Although it was a most striking design, unfortunately the project needed the vast financial resources of the world's major manufacturers. |
